Tomorrow I'll be voting for Labour in the UK general election.
This is the first time in my life that I'm voting out of a sense that things could really change for the better, rather than a desire to slow the rate at which the institutions propping up our society and supporting the most vulnerable are left to rot and crumble.
We have a chance of being represented by a government that believes in the right to a free education, an efficient and well funded NHS, affordable housing, and in the idea that equal opportunities should be afforded to everyone regardless of their ethnicity, gender, sexual preference or class background.
We have a chance to fight against the disastrous and unnecessary austerity measures implemented by successive Conservative governments, which continue to ruin lives and disproportionately affect those who most need support; policies which continue to widen the staggeringly massive gap between rich and poor. It's a choice between compassion and selfishness, and for some it'll literally be the difference between life and death.
The amount of support shown for Labour and for Corbyn over the past few months, generated almost entirely by young people, without the support of any mainstream press institutions and in the face of massive hostility from the corrupt and entirely self-interested lunatics running those institutions, shows that there's hope and that we can't be ignored.
Please get out and vote tomorrow - Tories out!
