When i started Abdulla Rashim Records in 2011 there was never any ideology behind putting out music limited to vinyl only. I saw it as the easiest and most convenient way to release music and didn’t want to bother with digital distribution.
Since then, like with Northern Electronics, i’ve come to realize that music should be available for everyone and although this is way overdue the digital ARR catalogue is now available on Bandcamp:
August 2016 i was due to play at Fabric in London for the first time, just a few days ahead of that weekend the news reached us that they had been forced to shut operations indefinitely. More than a year later i’m coming for their weekend long birthday celebration.
